# Variablen
## ℹ️ Was sind Variablen?
Variablen ermöglichen Ihnen die Definition von Werten wie Reporting-Aliassen oder Reporting-Werten, die zur Verbesserung der Exportdaten verwendet werden. Reporting-Aliasse können anstelle des tatsächlichen Frage- oder Antworttexts verwendet werden, um eine kürzere, in Ihrer Drittanbieter-Statistiksoftware aussagekräftigere Version festzulegen.
[Reporting-Werte](/de/form-management/form-designer/answers/answer-properties/berichterstellung-exportieren.md) und Typen hingegen sind nützlich, wenn Sie Berechnungen mit den gesammelten Daten durchführen müssen, da diese Ihren [SPSS ](/de/form-management/data-export/data-exports/spss-sav.md)Variablen zugewiesen werden; beim Export Ihrer Daten nach SPSS haben Sie dann alle Labels mit den passenden Typen und Werten zur Analyse bereit.
Standardmäßig wird jedem Reporting-Wert ein sequentieller Wert basierend auf der zeitlichen Reihenfolge vergeben, in der die Antwort hinzugefügt wurde. Beachten Sie, dass beim Löschen einer Antwort die für diese Antwort verwendete sequentielle Nummer nicht für eine andere Antwort wiederverwendet wird.
Über den Variablen-Bildschirm können Sie in einer Oberfläche alle Variablen für alle Fragen oder Antworten Ihrer Umfrage festlegen.
