# Chiffrement transparent

En utilisant le chiffrement transparent, vous pouvez définir une clé de chiffrement unique qui sera utilisée à la fois pour le chiffrement et le déchiffrement de toutes les données qui ont été [classifiées](/fr/data-encryption/data-classification.md) comme [interne](/fr/data-encryption/data-classification/internal.md) ou [sensible](/fr/data-encryption/data-classification/sensitive.md).

Bien que les données soient chiffrées au niveau de la base de données, notez que toutes ces données sont accessibles en clair via la section d'administration de ngSurvey.

Pour configurer le chiffrement global sur votre serveur, vous pouvez définir votre propre clé de chiffrement privée dans une variable d'environnement nommée **NGSurvey:EncryptionKey** avec la valeur de votre clé de chiffrement**.**
