# Custom Prompt
The custom prompt smart work allows you to set any kind of prompt supported by your AI provider. Using the pipe iconyou can pipe into your prompt any of your respondent answers. ngSurvey will then replace the pipe dynamically for each respondent while sending the prompt to your AI provider for evaluation. The output of the prompt will be stored as the smart column value.

We recommend to use your pipe value between triple back ticks in your prompt to let your AI provider distinguish it from your prompt request.
