# Countries

The countries answer type is an autocomplete field that lets the respondent enter his country.

Settings the [default text value](https://docs.ngsurvey.com/form-management/form-designer/answers/answer-properties/field-properties) of the answer to the 2 letter iso code of the country will preset the country to it. eg: US will preset the country to United States.
