# Referer

The referer will check that the respondent comes from a specific http link. If you have inserted the [web link](https://docs.ngsurvey.com/form-management/publish-deploy/web) into your website page you may enforce and check that the respondents are coming from that page through that link and not using the link directly or from another place.

## 🔅 Referer properties

* **`Referer`** URL of the site page hosting your [survey link](https://docs.ngsurvey.com/form-management/publish-deploy/web). The URL must be the exact same one  that can be seen in the browser navigation bar while being on the page hosting the survey link.
