# WhatsApp Distribution

## 🗯️ What is WhatsApp distribution ?

Using WhatsApp distribution you can reach your audience by sending your surveys to your respondent WhatsApp application using their mobile phone number.

WhatsApp surveys can be distributes in following ways.

* [**Invitation**](/form-management/campaigns/campaign/phone-sms-distribution/whatsapp-distribution/untitled.md) respondent will receive an [invitation message](/form-management/campaigns/campaign/invitation-message.md) with a link leading to your survey on the web.
* [**Two way**](/form-management/campaigns/campaign/phone-sms-distribution/whatsapp-distribution/two-way-survey.md) to create conversational surveys and let respondent reply to your survey questions directly within WhatsApp.

Its important to remember that due to the way WhatsApp works you can only use a [WhatsApp / Twilio pre-approved message](/form-management/campaigns/campaign/invitation-message/whatsapp-template.md) for your distribution messages.

The WhatsApp features requires to have a [Twilio](/installation-setup/system-settings/mobile-messenging/twilio.md) or [Unifonic](/installation-setup/installation/whatsapp-messenging/twilio-whatsapp-1.md) account with a Facebook Business Manager account and that your Twilio account is [setup](/installation-setup/system-settings.md) in your ngSurvey installation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ngsurvey.com/form-management/campaigns/campaign/phone-sms-distribution/whatsapp-distribution.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
