# Campaign Encryption

Campaigns are using personal identifier information like emails or phone numbers to be able to send out your invitations to your recipients. Using campaign encryption you can set a [data classification](https://docs.ngsurvey.com/data-encryption/data-classification) for each of your campaign to encrypt and keep secure the campaign recipients.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Recipient will only be fully encrypted in restricted mode once they have been sent and moved from queue. In the meantime recipient will be set to sensitive.
{% endhint %}

## ⚠️ Limitations

Restricted campaigns can't have any reminders as its not possible to reverse back internally the encryption to get back the recipients once the invitations have been sent.
