# Cluster / Scale out setup

To improve performances ngSurvey caches parts of the data on the server, if you are running on a cluster or running on multiple servers that share the load you have to activate distributed caching to make sure that all the nodes in your cluster are keeping up to date with the same data.

To turn on distributed caching you may set following environment variable value to true.
