# Browser Location

## 📍 What is browser location ?

Browser location will be gather from the respondent browser when the form gets loaded. Respondent's location will be saved using longitude and latitude coordinates that you can be used later on to retrieve its position on any online map.

You can activate or disable browser location at any time from the [survey properties](/form-management/form-designer/form-settings.md) page.

{% hint style="info" %}
Browser location query will first ask the user if he wants to share its location. If he doesn't want to share its location no location will be saved along the respondent. In such a case you may want to revert back to [IP address based location](/form-management/form-designer/geolocation/ip-address-location.md) look ups.
{% endhint %}
